Food is fuel, but when you’ve got too much fuel, it gets stored as fat deposits. Yeah, that’s what love handles are – you’ve guzzled too much fuel and they are sitting on the sides of stomach, above your hips. These are affectionately called “love handles”. I’m not sure why, but that’s the topic of our post today.
And, appropriately so: after all, it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow. Valentine’s Day + Love Handles – do you see the irony here?
How To Get Rid of Love Handles
Here are some commonsense tips:
Reduce overall body fat. Eat fewer Carbohydrates. Remember, Food is Fuel and too much Food with no exercise leads to Fat Deposits in your belly, but possible in other areas of your body also.- The American Heart Association recommends 60-90 minutes of cardiovascular exercise a day, every day, for those seeking fat loss. (At 50-80% of your maximum heart rate). Everyone, normal weight or not, should be exercising for at LEAST 30 minutes a day, most days of the week. By exercising, not only do you burn more calories while you exercise but also you will be burning more calories even when you stop, as your metabolism remains elevated.
- Spot reducing – targeting just love handles – is difficult. It actually will take work. It took you sometime to obtain those love handles; it might take the same amount or more time to get rid of them.
- Try some products in our Store. These weight loss, fat burner products, coupled with commonsense, eating well, sleep, and exercise, will help you reach your goal.
Despite those love handles, love yourself anyway. After all, what matters is what is in your heart, not so much how you look. So, give yourself a break. Take care of yourself today.
