get energy now - energy bar“I’m Too Tired” – yes, I’ve made that excuse and you probably have also.  But, think about it: who isn’t tired?  After a full day of work and kids, who isn’t tired.  Here’s the bottom line: it’s an excuse.

Consider the facebook ad on working dads – doesn’t he look really run down and tired?  - do you feel like that?

So do I.  But, that’s not an excuse.

If you’re tired, what can you do?

  1. If you’re at a desk all day, instead of sitting in a chair, try sitting on a big inflatable ball.  That will help you strengthen your core muscles and help you learn and teach your body better posture.  It might even help you get rid of that belly fat and fat burn that spare tire you’ve got hanging around.
  2. During lunch, go outside for a walk after a nice healthy lunch.
  3. Park far away from the office – forcing you to walk and make better use of your time allowing you to invest in your physical body – which you deserve.
  4. Go to bed early.
  5. Drink water – a lot of water.
  6. Try to have a better attitude – if you act that way you want to feel, you’ll actually begin to feel the way you act!
  7. Serve someone – yes, an act of charitable service can energize your batteries.
  8. Call your spouse and treat him/her well on the phone.
  9. Make sure that your pillow is supporting the arch between your head and shoulders.
  10. Take time to reflect alone.

No more excuses.  You can do it.

As always,
